Copenhagen is the major stage for protestors. According to AFP, 515 groups from 67 counties joined together to assemble near 60~80 thousands demonstrators in street of Copenhagen on 12th. They hoped polar bears can live many years after, which need co-response to the climate changing all over the world. A tall Christmas tree covered with colorful lights has been erected on the center of the square. According to the organizers, this Christmas will be the energy-saving star among all the Danish Christmas tree this year. The organizers will invite the residents of Denmark to ride a bike for powering the colorful lights on the Christmas tree. In winter, the streets of Copenhagen were not so busy as other seasons, but Demark people were still passionately welcoming the climate conference regardless of the cold weather.
Danish female teacher Desiree Leikebom told to reporters that it is a very important meeting. Since the issue of addressing climate change is the responsibility of all countries in the world, they should put forward a viable solution through negotiation. Bjorn Honk, a salesman in a shop, said he learnt through news on TV that the climate conference was going to be held in Denmark and he hoped every country could strive for an agreement and perform their own responsibilities although whether an agreement could be reached was unknown.
